After the Michigan State University shooting, I was talking to my father about an article I'd seen on Jackie Matthews, who had survived the MSU shooting and the Sandy Hook shooting...only at the time I couldn't remember which shooting other than MSU she had survived.

Because that's the thing: There are so many of them. I read news articles about the lastest mass shootings, and they'll make references to past ones. And I often need to look the past ones up because I just can't keep track of all of the mass shootings that take place in America. I may very well forget Nashville one day, not because I don't care, but because there are just too many mass shootings to remember them all. And the fact that politicians will do anything but restrict gun laws to the degree we need says everything a person needs to know about this shithole country.
